Parents & Caregivers
If you are the parent or primary caregiver of a child who has experienced sexual abuse, we understand the intense range of emotions you may be feeling. As such, we want to guide you through any questions you might have regarding the Little Warriors Be Brave Ranch and the child-centered, family-friendly treatment that we provide.
Who Can Apply
The Be Brave Ranch program is intended for girls and boys aged eight to 12 who have reported and documented childhood sexual assault.
The Be Brave Ranch treatment program is based on two separate, gold standard trauma intervention models (Triphasic Model and TF-CBT). Treatment combines on-site and outpatient therapies that are delivered over the course of one year and divided into multiple stages:
- Children will visit the Be Brave Ranch a total of four times over a 12-month period.
- The first visit is 28 days long.
- The three subsequent visits are 14 days long and staggered throughout the year.
- In between stays, children will work with their therapist on an outpatient basis via weekly group teleconferences.
